About the role

  • Senior Trade Surveillance Analyst monitoring trading activity across asset classes for potential market abuse. Leading investigations and mentoring junior analysts in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes to detect potential market abuse
  • Lead complex investigations and mentor junior analysts
  • Contribute to the enhancement of surveillance systems and processes
  • Review surveillance alerts and take appropriate action
  • Conduct ad-hoc deep-dive investigations into suspicious trading patterns
  • Enhance surveillance processes by identifying issues and calibrating thresholds
  • Produce management information and thematic analysis on alerts and trends
  • Mentor junior colleagues and act as a Trade Surveillance Subject Matter Expert

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience working in trade surveillance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FICC products
  • Strong understanding of the UK regulatory framework, including Market Abuse rules and FCA principles
  • Experience using Trading Hub (desirable)
  • Previous Front Office or Operations experience (desirable)
