About the role
- Area Director leading Asset Finance sales team in our Midlands, North West and Wales region. Driving new business and developing a sales team to achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating a team of office and field based salespeople, to deliver asset finance products to both existing and new clients and achieve both financial and non-financial targets
- Build & manage key stakeholder relationships - both internal (Coverage/Risk/Product/Operations) and external (Clients/KBIs/Brokers).
- Collaborate effectively across SCS to assist in product development, identifying/mitigating risk and enabling wider product and business transformation as we grow.
- Build and maintain an effective external network to ensure maximisation of opportunity across all channels.
- Ensure common goals and strategic alignment with the wider Group to drive product offerings into our client base.
- Grow product penetration by effectively introducing suitable, additional LBG products to Asset Finance clients.
- Provide effective feedback to team members to assist them in their in role development and future ambitions.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Asset Finance is essential.
- Sales Leadership experience – previous line management experience, or experience in coaching, development, performance management.
- Strong communication and partnering skills with experience in building and managing relationships with clients and influential partners.
- Credit Analysis – Strong commercial reasoning skills with the ability to assess, analyse and interpret financial information.
- Strong presentational skills including the ability to communicate with and influence key customers.
- A desire to realise the potential in others, deliver excellent client service and drive growth of our wider business.
