About the role
- Managing Director overseeing operations of Alternatives recon function at State Street. Responsible for platform migrations and service delivery improvements across financial services operations.
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership expertise and oversight of the operations of Alternatives recon function
- Run platform migrations for different Alternative segments
- Ensure consistency across policy, standards, process and procedure
- Provide partnership with our stakeholders, support and assurance to enable effective delivery
- Improve quality of service delivery within the business, control environment and productivity
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation / best practices and ensure compliance
- Evolve the operating model to drive scalability & client centricity, best in class operations with leading industry standards
- Effectively partner with IT and Client side of the organization
- Manage the senior leadership team and oversee all operational resolutions
- Address custom client requests, manage production activities
Requirements
- Over 15 years' of experience running operations within financial services
- Deeper expertise on Fund accounting, middle office and custody functions across all Alts segments
- Understanding of industry practices and operating models around recons
- Enterprise leadership skills managing client service delivery and business growth
- Experience interfacing at a senior level with clients, service providers and regulators
- Strong team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication and presentation skills
- Focus on talent management, optimizing technology and managing operational risk
- A relevant graduate degree or masters qualification that can be leveraged in this role
