About the role
- Senior Cloud Network Engineer at Vizzia focusing on automating network infrastructure for a high-growth IoT platform. Responsible for cloud networking, security, and infrastructure automation.
Responsibilities
- Automate everything: Build the IaC (Terraform/CDK) that turns network provisioning from hours into minutes
- Design network APIs: Create self-service automation that lets teams deploy infrastructure without manual intervention
- Build monitoring, alerting, and observability (Datadog) that catches issues before they become incidents
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, network hardening, and remediation at scale
- Own the VPN architecture supporting thousands of concurrent device connections
- Design and evolve cloud network infrastructure (VPCs, routing, site-to-site connectivity) across AWS & GCP
- Work with Teltonika 5G routers, ensuring seamless integration with our platform
- Navigate the unique challenges of secure, compliant cloud infrastructure (S3NS/GCP)
Requirements
- Automation mindset: You think in code (Python/TypeScript) and IaC (Terraform/CDK). If you can't automate it, you're not done.
- Cloud networking fundamentals: Strong understanding of VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, site-to-site connectivity
- CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions or similar—automation includes your own deployment pipelines
- Ownership mentality: You don't wait for someone to tell you what to fix. You identify problems and solve them.
- Linux/Bash comfort: You're comfortable in terminal environments and shell scripting
- Docker proficiency: Containerization is second nature
- Professional proficiency in English
