Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough site surveys to assess current network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to design network solutions that meet Air Force requirements
  • Assist in the installation of network equipment, including routers, switches, access points, and other hardware
  • Configure network devices to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure network reliability and functionality
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network installation, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps
  • Ensure all activities comply with Approved designs, Air Force regulations and security protocols

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • High School diploma or associates degree with 3-7 years of experience performing as a Network Technician on DoD Networks
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking concepts
  • Experience with ISP/OSP, wired and wireless network technologies
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create drawings using Visio
