About the role
- Software Asset Management Analyst ensuring effective control and compliance of software assets at Leonardo UK. Collaborating with vendors and supporting internal licensing queries with a strong focus on data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of software purchases, entitlements, deployments, and renewals to ensure ongoing compliance across the software portfolio.
- Assist in preparing renewal documentation, compiling usage and entitlement data, and tracking key expiry and renewal dates.
- Input and update software licensing and usage data within SAM tools; produce regular reports to support compliance activities, optimisation initiatives, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and software vendors to obtain quotes, validate licensing details, and support the administrative aspects of renewals and agreements.
- Respond to internal licensing queries, support day-to-day SAM operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and governance.
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders; stakeholder management skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
- Basic understanding of common software licensing models (e.g., per-user, per-device, subscription, perpetual).
- Experience using SAP or other data management tools; exposure to Software Asset Management platforms such as Flexera, ServiceNow, or Snow is a plus.
