About the role

• Business Analyst contributing to team expertise in analyzing complex business problems and trends. Requires business domain understanding and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates as an active member of a functional team, applying an advanced level of business expertise to the analysis of complex business problems.
• Leads translation of conceptual user requirements into functional requirements.
• Liaises with business groups across the organization for planning, design, development, and implementation of new business processes.
• Facilitates project approval processes involving all key stakeholders.
• Supports all stages of the project life cycle, managing client expectations and risk.
• Participates in orientation and training of end users with respect to new/modified approaches.
• Provides proxy coverage for other squad roles and chapter related needs as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in business or a combination of relevant experience and education required.
• 3 years of experience in a business analysis function or related experience required. Experience a BA role or equivalent experience working in an Agile environment an asset
• Advanced understanding of the project management cycle and agile iterative delivery process.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid organizational skills to carry out assignments to meet business requirements and deadlines.
• Solid research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of business analysis concepts, theories, tools, practices, and techniques.
• Solid understanding of business functions across the organization.
• Understanding of risk and risk ownership by demonstrating adherence to policies and procedures.
