System Administrator supporting the DoS Facial Recognition program for Consular Affairs mission. Collaborating on identity verification and maintaining system security compliance with IT metrics.
Responsibilities
Contribute to DoS Facial Recognition team to verify applicant identities
Submit trouble tickets as required; Track and report on trouble tickets
Perform preventive and adaptive maintenance and patching as prescribed
Assist with installation, test and documentation of facial recognition systems and software components
Assist with integrating emerging technologies into legacy facial recognition systems
Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required
Work seamlessly with DoS groups and Government-designated contractors
Coordinate with Consular Affairs configuration management personnel
Assist in maintaining IT risk scoring metrics (iPost)
Assist in maintaining security compliance of Consular Affairs databases
Requirements
Must have Bachelor’s Degree with at least two years of relevant experience
Must possess and maintain active Secret clearance or above to be considered for role (US Citizenship required)
Must live in the National Capital Region for periodic access to DoS facilities in Chantilly, VA
Experience with basic Linux command line skills
Working understanding of basic concepts such as processes, users, and the file system hierarchy
Working understanding of Windows server administration
