Full Stack Developer building full-stack applications for family lawyers at LEAP. Taking ownership of product development from prototypes to production in a hybrid workspace.
Responsibilities
You'll join a team of Full-Stack Developers who take full ownership of their products. In this role you’ll lead the build of new full-stack application for family lawyers, taking it from early prototypes to production.
Working closely with in-house lawyers, product, client operations, and beyond, you’ll turn real practitioner workflows into simple, secure, high-performing web experiences. The work you'll do initially will be 50% frontend and 50% backend (.NET).
Take ownership of the planning, design, implementation, and support of a new Family Law application.
Work closely with our Directors and Managers to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks. You'll act as a bridge between product vision and technical implementation, providing insights and recommendations where necessary.
Identify technical challenges and devise innovative solutions to overcome them, leveraging your autonomy and expertise to drive the prototyping process forward.
Design and develop high-quality, responsive UI using TypeScript (React or Svelte), ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Improve the architecture of front-end components, optimising code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Work closely with UX designers and in-house lawyers to iterate on flows and prototypes.
Take ownership of front-end components, driving the technical direction and setting coding standards.
Participate in agile methodologies such as stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
Requirements
Frontend: TypeScript + React or Svelte
Backend: C#/.NET + AWS
Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and writing SQL.
Experience consuming external APIs.
Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
Experience with automated testing (eg. xUnit, nUnit, Cypress, Playwright etc...)
Experience working with sensitive client data.
Consider it a bonus if you: Have experience working in a start-up or greenfield environment; and some experience with web scraping / data ingestion workflows (within legal and ethical constraints).
