About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to define research objectives, problem statements, and key questions that inform product decisions
  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability tests) to understand user behaviors, motivations, and needs
  • Monitor competitor products, websites, and industry trends to identify innovations, risks, and emerging opportunities
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings from multiple data sources to uncover insights that guide product, design, and marketing strategy
  • Present research insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and actionable way
  • Conduct market and product research to support strategic initiatives and evaluate potential new opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user insights are incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritize research initiatives and inform product backlog decisions, ensuring research efforts focus on the highest-impact opportunities
  • Promote and support best practices in user research methodologies across product and design teams
  • Create comprehensive research documentation and contribute to the evolution of the organization’s research strategy and processes

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Design, Psychology, Business, Science, or another relevant research-related field
  • Advanced understanding of user research methodologies and their applications (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, moderated and unmoderated testing)
  • Proven experience planning and executing successful user testing projects and UX/UI research studies
  • Experience designing and running surveys and gathering both qualitative and quantitative user feedback
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify patterns and trends from multiple data sources
  • Ability to conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Strong statistical analysis skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, reports, tables, and visualizations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Knowledge of product design, UX/UI principles, and online marketing best practices are considered a strong asset
