Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud-native services on AWS
- Evaluate and drive adoption of AI-powered developer tools to accelerate velocity and raise code quality
- Lead investigation and resolution of production incidents, driving rapid recovery, and implementing long-term fixes
- Conduct thorough code reviews and champion automated testing, CI/CD best practices
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on clean code, testing, and system design
- Partner with QA to define test strategies
- Work hand-in-hand with product managers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- 3+ years working on large-scale retail, e-commerce, or high-throughput consumer domains
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or Scala
- Solid Python skills are a big plus
- Proven experience building and supporting cloud-native microservices and APIs on AWS
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and container orchestration
- Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience in AI-assisted coding tools
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication to articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills to mentor and coach
