About the role
- Monitor daily processes and adjust operating conditions as needed.
- Serve as liaison with SOIP, Maintenance, E&I, QC, Logistics, and HR.
- Provide internal technical support, including inspections/audits, PHA’s, RCA’s, MOC’s, training, and permit coordination.
- Lead and support process improvement activities, including root-cause investigations.
- Prepare for and participate in meetings and operational reviews.
- Identify and investigate issues involving unusual operating conditions; solutions may require developing new or improved processes, techniques, or equipment.
- Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, or equipment changes.
- Coordinate implementation of new or revised engineering solutions.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives using various continuous improvement methodologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards tied to improvement goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; technical trade school or college degree preferred.
- 3+ years of operations experience (preferrably in the chemical manufacturing industry).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct fact-based analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and interpret operational data to determine appropriate actions.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP; ability to learn additional systems as needed.
