About the role

  • Security Support D managing security processes essential for classified operations. Focused on document control, compliance, and training within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work under general direction and guidance within standard processes to manage security processes essential for classified facility operations
  • Focus on document control including identification, marking, accounting, shipping or movement, and destruction of classified material
  • Assist in developing Security Education, Training and Awareness briefing materials
  • Track completion data and maintain training records of employees
  • Maintain records and archiving security relevant information
  • Manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities within deadlines
  • Transmission and preparation of classified material to include package preparation
  • Authoring transportation plans and providing courier guidance
  • Maintain inventory/control of classified material in storage
  • Maintain NSA COMSEC account; perform custodian duties
  • Research and implement National and Department of Defense security regulations
  • Recognize and report security violations and prepare reports.
  • Specify prevention actions to be taken.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
  • Active Secret US Security Clearance Preferred
  • Security Information Management System (SIMS)
  • Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Initiative in pursuing problems, opportunities, and innovative solutions while maintaining security compliance
  • Ability to implement compliance programs
  • Experience and practical knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Solid time management skills to achieve operational targets
  • Experience with Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems
  • Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Practical knowledge of job area including 32 CFR 117, DoD 5200, and any relevant regulations.
