About the role

• IT Security Engineer coordinating operational IT security tasks by planning tests and managing vulnerabilities. Collaborating with internal teams and acting as a liaison for security inquiries.

Responsibilities

• You coordinate all matters related to operational IT security
• You plan and manage internal and external tests
• You accompany follow-ups and serve as the central point of contact for inquiries
• Responsibility for vulnerability management lies with you
• As the interface to our Security Operations Center (SOC), you monitor security-relevant events
• You take on the role of the central contact person for operational information security
• You develop organization-wide security guidelines
• You continuously advance operational IT security
• You keep track of current threats and assess their relevance for our IT landscape
• You contribute your security expertise when introducing new IT systems

Requirements

• Completed degree in IT or equivalent vocational training with a specialization or qualification in IT security
• Enthusiasm for operational IT security
• You have professional experience in administering or hardening IT infrastructure components (e.g., servers or network devices), including knowledge of common protocols
• Experience in technical project management or familiarity with information security best-practice frameworks is desirable
• Certification in IT security is desirable (e.g., CompTIA)
