About the role
- IT Security Engineer coordinating operational IT security tasks by planning tests and managing vulnerabilities. Collaborating with internal teams and acting as a liaison for security inquiries.
Responsibilities
- You coordinate all matters related to operational IT security
- You plan and manage internal and external tests
- You accompany follow-ups and serve as the central point of contact for inquiries
- Responsibility for vulnerability management lies with you
- As the interface to our Security Operations Center (SOC), you monitor security-relevant events
- You take on the role of the central contact person for operational information security
- You develop organization-wide security guidelines
- You continuously advance operational IT security
- You keep track of current threats and assess their relevance for our IT landscape
- You contribute your security expertise when introducing new IT systems
Requirements
- Completed degree in IT or equivalent vocational training with a specialization or qualification in IT security
- Enthusiasm for operational IT security
- You have professional experience in administering or hardening IT infrastructure components (e.g., servers or network devices), including knowledge of common protocols
- Experience in technical project management or familiarity with information security best-practice frameworks is desirable
- Certification in IT security is desirable (e.g., CompTIA)
