About the role

  • Lead Project Engineer managing propulsion program tasks at Aerojet Rocketdyne's Huntsville HQ. Overseeing design, analysis, and testing activities with focus on SRM manufacturing issues.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an IPT lead on the MPBD programs
  • Lead, perform, and/or coordinate propulsion program tasks
  • Implement design and analysis tasks
  • Oversee special studies and coordinate testing activities
  • Coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses
  • Perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting
  • Lead Transition to Production activities within the IPT
  • Provide technical advice for various production programs related to SRM manufacturing issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior Project Engineering experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior Project Engineering experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Project Engineering experience
  • 4 years of IPT Lead experience
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering
  • Four or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) is desired
