About the role
- System Administrator managing Solaris and Linux systems ensuring high availability and security for global clients at Kyndryl. Troubleshooting complex issues and implementing best practices in technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Solaris and Linux systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement remediation measures for vulnerabilities identified during VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing).
- Apply security patches and updates to ensure system security and integrity.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system resources.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Design and implement high availability (HA) and cluster configurations to ensure system uptime.
- Implement Solaris security policies, configure role-based access control, and perform configuration hardening and OS hardening.
- Prepare and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Perform root cause analysis for system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Integrate systems with LDAP, NTP, SIEM, and PIM systems.
- Manage inventory of systems, licenses, and software.
- Manage releases and updates of systems and applications.
Requirements
- Solaris expertise: 5+ years
- Hand on Experience with Oracle Solaris 1, including installation, configuration, and management.
- Linux expertise: Experience with Linux distributions, including installation, configuration, and management.
- Certification: Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Solaris 11 System Administrator certification required.
- Intermediate knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of upgrades, installing applications, implementing Solaris security policies, and solving technical issues.
- VAPT remediation: Hands-on experience with VAPT remediation and vulnerability management.
- HA/Cluster configurations: Understanding of HA/cluster configurations and best practices.
- Education Qualification - Degree Preferred
