About the role
- Project Procurement Manager responsible for managing procurement processes for beverage and liquid food industry projects at Krones Process Group North America.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely flow of 3rd party fabricated equipment and contract site activities according to the procurement plan
- Issue purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers and internal departments
- Monitor and resolve delivery delays and communicate progress to management
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
- Manage RFP process including bid package and bid evaluation
- Negotiate procurement terms based on contract terms
- Support claims management during project execution
- Involved in project close-down including vendor performance evaluation and feedback
- Provide regular reports on schedule status, material changes, and potential delays
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality assurance or a related role
- Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with supplier audits and assessments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Advanced understanding of quality assurance methodologies and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
