About the role
- Integral to the FS Regulatory team providing legal advice on a broad range of client solutions
- Includes projects related to legal entity restructurings alongside tax and advisory teams
- Involves cross border regulated activities, product development, customer journey transformation
- Support regulatory change projects and large scale technology transformation projects
- Managing engagements and driving projects to conclusion
- Training and mentoring more junior team members
Requirements
- Qualified UK senior solicitor with substantial experience in Financial Services Regulation
- Solid experience advising on perimeter analysis, wholesale banking, insurance and investment firms regulation
- Experience in commodities regulation or cryptocurrency regulation is an advantage
- Comfortable navigating through the laws and regulations within the Rulebook and Handbook
- Ability to handle projects with minimal supervision, while supervising more junior members of the team
- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to excellent oral and written communication
- Entrepreneurial self-starter excited by the opportunity to provide multi-disciplinary legal services
- Ability to understand the legal solution within the wider picture
- Keen to become a more rounded business adviser
- Relationship-builder who can spot and develop new opportunities and client relationships
