About the role

  • Head of KDN Audit Quality and Risk Management overseeing quality assurance and risk management frameworks. Responsible for compliance, operational excellence, and risk mitigation across Audit function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of compliance with quality and risk management policies, including the GQ&RM Manual, GPS and GDC policies, the Code of Conduct, and other relevant frameworks
  • Member of the KDN Audit Management Team
  • Certify compliance with KDN's annual KQCE & SoQM programs and support compliance with annual KQCE and SoQM programs
  • Direct the annual QPR program and support solution reviews, annual QPRs, Risk Compliance Programs, and other global review initiatives
  • Monitor compliance with KDN Audit policies and Form AP reporting requirements, and support monitoring and reporting of PCAOB Form AP / regulatory requirements
  • Perform risk reviews of new services and new technologies in accordance with GQ&RM requirements
  • Monitor audit quality and continuous improvement activities, including monitoring quality KPIs and conducting root cause analysis
  • Conduct deep dives into quality concerns and provide actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide regular reporting to QRM and Audit leadership
  • Identify, communicate, and recommend steps to mitigate emerging risks and quality trends
  • Monitor compliance with data management, training, ethics & independence processes
  • Be involved with the process for internal reporting of local breaches of law, regulation, or KPMG policy, and participate in the internal reporting process for local breaches
  • Support the communication and remediation of findings identified through monitoring, SoQM, and compliance
  • Oversee local member firm support to KDN activities
  • Provide support for general risk inquiries and support engagement onboarding and contracting processes, including supporting contracting matters
  • Champion a culture of quality through targeted training, awareness initiatives, and consultative support
  • Assess and manage potential conflicts of interest, ethical considerations, and independence issues, including supporting independence inquiries
  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to align risk and quality initiatives with strategic business objectives
  • Lead the development and enforcement of policies to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process and control enhancements, partnering with the business to design and implement effective solutions
  • Advance the KDN Quality Framework to establish a standardised, consistent, and cohesive system across DCs
  • Coordinate with designated KDN QRM personnel to ensure coherent approaches to risk, compliance, policy, and quality
  • Monitor the results of the Quality Review Program and Root Cause Analysis, and monitor Audit's root cause analysis program
  • Participate in root cause analysis and action plan development for identified exceptions
  • Assist with investigating issues arising from reports to the KPMG hotline, including assisting with investigations and hotline matters
  • Contribute to practice and risk management
  • Monitoring the permissibility of services delivered
  • Ensuring the acceptable use of IT in service delivery, including compliance with data retention policies
  • Providing risk reporting
  • Promptly responding to regulatory inquiries
  • Performing quality reviews of deliverables completed by KDN Mexico professionals for engagement teams

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant business discipline is essential
  • Background in external audit or risk management
  • Proven and extensive experience in quality assurance, compliance, or risk management roles
  • Knowledge of a system of quality management
  • Experience in designing, documenting, and testing internal controls
  • Familiarity with delivery center operating models
  • Experience leading a team and operating globally
  • Demonstrated adherence to KPMG's values
  • Strong awareness of risk management
  • Excellent project management skills
