About the role

  • Assistant Manager working within the KPMG tax practice. Involved in operational taxes for financial services clients and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a high level of technical knowledge across operational taxes
  • Supporting the management of client relationships and projects
  • Understanding our client's business and identifying areas for operational tax services
  • Collaborating with KPMG teams across the UK and globally
  • Participating in the development of new client propositions
  • Helping grow the business through the delivery of high-quality services

Requirements

  • Evidence of deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services
  • Practical experience of dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context
  • An understanding of financial markets, participants, investors
  • Good knowledge of at least one of: Withholding Tax, Transaction Tax, Information Reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI), Qualified Intermediary or International Tax principles
  • Excellent project management, delegation/coaching and client facing delivery skills
  • Familiarity of and enthusiasm to work with emerging technologies
