About the role

  • GL Accountant at Kpler responsible for general ledger accounting across UK, Singapore & UAE. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy in financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for GL Accounting for UK, Singapore and UAE.
  • Enter financial data and transactions into the ledger.
  • Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform account analysis, cost accruals, bank reconciliations.
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and reconcile accounts.
  • Analyse financial data and provide financial recommendations.
  • Perform corporate tax calculations and prepare and issue tax filings (e.g. GST).
  • Assist on the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Assure compliance and accuracy to our financial statements by performing checks as part of our internal processes.
  • Backup Support /cover other GL team members in case of absence or during peak periods.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related accounting role.
  • BSc in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance.
  • analytical skills.
  • Effective problem solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, with experience in an international capacity.
  • Proven ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Any professional accounting qualification will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Netsuite (ERP) will be considered a plus.
