About the role
- Senior Accountant leading financial reporting and compliance for Kooner Fleet Management Solutions in a hybrid role. Responsible for technical accounting, audits, and internal controls in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure all accounting practices and documentation meet compliance standards.
- Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage complex general ledger activities including accruals and revenue recognition.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Identify areas for process enhancement in accounting workflows.
- Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data models) and experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar ERP system.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
