Responsibilities
independently design material handling equipment such as conveyors, bulk feed systems, sortation solutions, and fulfillment machinery
manage moderate-complexity tasks within assigned project scopes and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and safety codes
interpret and refine concept-level product requirements into detailed mechanical designs
develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation packages including detailed drawings and engineering change documentation
investigate and resolve product design issues through root-cause analysis
lead or facilitate peer design reviews to ensure technical, cost, and quality objectives are met
provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience
advanced-level experience in 3D CAD tools such as NX, AutoCAD, Inventor, Pro-E, Solid Works
travel up to 10%
experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter is preferred
demonstrated proficiency in mechanical product design with hands-on experience developing material handling equipment
strong working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
hands-on experience with prototyping, lab testing, and equipment validation
strong collaboration and communication skills
