Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new business through calls, emails, visits, and lead-generation methods aligned with agency guidelines
Conduct client and prospect appointments to assess insurance needs, present proposals, and explain coverage options
Submit, rate, quote, and place new business in line with agency and carrier guidelines
Prepare and submit accurate insurance applications, underwriting data, and loss histories
Collaborate with the marketing and service teams to negotiate optimal coverage and pricing
Develop and deliver detailed formal insurance proposals
Support cross-selling initiatives through a mutual referral network
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Meet or exceed predetermined sales goals
Maintain effective communication with clients, agency, and carrier personnel
Follow agency workflows and properly utilize the AMS360 and CRM systems
Complete sales reports, track pipeline activity, and attend required meetings
Stay informed on industry trends and maintain continuing education requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Active Property & Casualty license
3–5+ years of documented successful insurance sales experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Suite
Extensive knowledge of insurance products and policies
Strong ability to determine optimal insurance solutions for clients
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and sales skills
Ability to travel during the day up to 60%
Valid U.S. driver’s license and minimum state-required vehicle insurance
