About the role

Responsibilities

  • Join KBR's National Maritime Team working on design and planning activities for multi-discipline maritime facilities.
  • Lead technical delivery of projects across various industries including defence, local/state government, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines within KBR and partners on significant projects.
  • Leverage existing maritime & coastal engineering experience for concept designs through to construction phase support.
  • Utilize project management and design management skills in delivering maritime projects.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in the design, evaluation and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, marine structures and dredging.
  • Significant experience with coastal modelling and/or structural modelling software.
  • Significant experience working with the local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector.
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Actively driving innovation within the team and providing supervision, guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
  • Ability to project manage and/or design manage large maritime projects; or teams within larger multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to actively engage with clients, pursue and position for opportunities and leverage existing connections to win work.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to get chartership within an agreed timeframe).
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
