About the role
- Legal expert managing compliance in banking sector. Act as a key contact for legal and regulatory matters, collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external legal questions in the home savings business, with a particular focus on lending
- Communicate with customers, internal departments, authorities/regulators, banks, lawyers and notaries
- Draft and continuously update legal documents such as contracts and general terms and conditions (GTCs)
- Analyze and implement legal provisions, regulatory requirements and group standards
- Support internal and external audits and prepare relevant reports for the group
- Transfer knowledge by developing and delivering training
Requirements
- Completed degree in law (Master or Diploma)
- Several years of professional experience in a legal environment, ideally at a bank or law firm
- Independent and structured working style with strategic, innovative and solution-oriented thinking
- Strong communication skills and high interpersonal competence
- Team-oriented, committed and with a sense of humor in day-to-day work
- Excellent MS Office skills and strong IT affinity
- Fluent German and English skills
