About the role

Responsibilities
- Programming, testing and commissioning of software for modern control systems
- Development of modular software architectures for use in machine and plant engineering
- Development and implementation of interfaces to network different hardware systems
- Parameterization, optimization and commissioning of drive systems
- Supporting service with customer inquiries, commissioning of customer-specific solutions, and analysis and troubleshooting of faults
- Creating and maintaining software documentation in the source code and in documentation systems
Requirements
- Completed degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering or information technology, or a completed vocational training (e.g., electronics technician for automation technology, mechatronics technician) or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in industrial software / real-time software for (special) machine construction
- Knowledge of programming in Structured Text (ST) on Beckhoff control systems (TwinCAT 3) or in C/C++ on B&R control systems (Automation Studio)
- Experience with current development tools (Visual Studio, GIT, Jira and Confluence); object-oriented programming or UML knowledge is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Linux-based systems and UI development (e.g., mappView) is a plus
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken, are required
- Ability to work independently as well as to coordinate tasks and contribute effectively in projects
