Responsibilities
Work in a multi-professional team and are responsible for the care and support of traumatized children and adolescents
Act as a primary caregiver supporting individual development, learning independence, and reintegration into social structures
In cooperation with psychologists, perform preparatory therapeutic work and support the development of emotional stability and impulse control
Collaborate with the on-site school teachers located on the premises
When designing educational, sports and leisure activities, individual strengths and interests are taken into account
Documentation tasks, with a strong focus on pedagogical work with the children and adolescents and their parents
Shift work (early shifts, late shifts, night on-call, weekend duty)
Requirements
Completed training as an educator (Erzieher/Erzieherin) or as a curative education nurse (Heilerziehungspfleger) or a degree in social pedagogy, social work or curative education (m/f/d)
Experience dealing with complex childhood and adolescent disorders is an advantage but not a strict requirement
Enjoyment in meaningfully supporting young people with impairments
