About the role
- Counselor leading dynamic group therapy sessions at a recovery community. Engaging with members and facilitating community outreach in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead 2–3 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum
- Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach
- Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches
- Monitor member progress and document outcomes
- Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members
- Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree
- Required licensure or certification: LCSW, LPC, LMHC, MCAP, LMFT, CAP
- Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting
- High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps
- Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal proficiency preferred)
