Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and development of Arc’s finance and AI systems
- Own end-to-end design for major platform surfaces across cash management, treasury, and debt marketplace.
- Contribute to Arc’s AI agent, *Archie*, evolving from insights → supervised actions → controlled execution inside the bank.
- Build mission-critical, high-reliability financial infrastructure
- Scale our banking rails, KYC/KYB onboarding flows, ledgering systems, and fund movement pipelines.
- Deeply consider safety, audibility, and security in every decision.
- Drive Arc’s automation roadmap
- Automate lending workflows (target: 90% automation).
- Power the AI CFO agent’s ability to take actions, not just deliver insights.
- Own strategic technical decisions
- Identify and implement “fast moving water” opportunities.
- Influence product direction with a strong owner mindset.
- Mentor engineers and elevate engineering quality across the team.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of software engineering experience (strong IC track record).
- Startup experience + exposure to at least one mid-size or large engineering environment.
- Strong system design fundamentals and experience scaling distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of LLMs, agents, embeddings, or vectorized workflows.
- Background in fintech, treasury, payments, or regulated environments (Preferred).
- Experience with document understanding, orchestration agents, or AI feature development (Preferred).
- Familiarity with high-security data systems, audibility, or compliance-heavy infra (Preferred).
