Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams supporting Distributed Network projects such as Battery Energy Storage Systems, Clean Transportation, and Networks & Communications
- Contribute to planning, design, and implementation of site development including grading and drainage, erosion control, and underground utilities
- Function in a lead technician capacity performing technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles
- Provide consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering professionals and technicians
- Ensure quality and alignment with project objectives
- May supervise an assigned team of engineering technicians and support personnel
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
- Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements
- Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation
- Technical expertise to solve complex design challenges
- Experience managing drawings and historical project records
- Ability to communicate project design requirements and schedules
- Training and development for supervised personnel
