About the role

  • Technical Support Engineer supporting Field Sales & Service organization with HVAC products. Delivering consistent technical support and solutions for YORK® Airside Technical Services in Largo, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization in a consistent manner across all product offerings.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support of the products to Field Sales & Service organization via site visit, phone, or email.
  • Participates with literature team with the creation and revision of technical service bulletins and, service letters.
  • Participates with the warranty team on warranty claim discussions.
  • Interactions with quality management and engineering on product issues and product improvements.
  • Crafts novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers;
  • Places a high priority on the internal or external customer’s perspective when making decisions and acting.
  • Participates in the Product Development Process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field
  • 8+ years experience (with a Bachelor's degree) or 14+ years of technical experience with HVAC&R products in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Able to analyze and solve complex product system problems
  • Understanding of fan powered terminals and understanding of application of parallel vs. series flow units
  • Understanding of the refrigeration cycle
  • Knowledge of HVAC&R products
