About the role
- Engineer managing production performance at Arkema in Carling for a 6 months contract, supervising staff and ensuring quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production performance (safety, quality, costs, volumes).
- Lead a team of approximately 30 employees, including 2 supervisors reporting directly.
- Oversee continuous operation of the facilities in line with commercial requirements.
- Promote HSE prevention and enforce internal HSE standards.
- Optimize manufacturing processes and reduce environmental impact.
- Drive implementation of production programs.
- Serve as the interface with quality, logistics, procurement and maintenance teams.
- Manage maintenance activities in coordination with the works coordinator.
- Lead and develop the teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce periodic reporting.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production unit or in a process/technical support role in operations.
- Hands-on field management experience.
- Good command of English.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize information and rigor.
- High degree of autonomy and strong hands-on orientation.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience managing shift-based teams.
- Solid HSE knowledge and strong safety culture.
- Ability to optimize processes and drive industrial performance.
