About the role
- Customs Compliance Engineer focusing on customs classification and supporting import/export activities at Universal Robots. Collaborating with teams in Denmark and maintaining classification codes.
Responsibilities
- Focus on customs classification in close collaboration with Universal Robots design team
- Support Universal Robots team in Denmark in classification activities HS and ECN Classification of direct, indirect, and off-line shipments
- Creation and maintenance of classification codes in PLM/ERP systems
- Engage with product teams, Operations and Sales for ease of import/export activities.
- Create and maintain: Technical description supporting classification and auditing. Supplementary description for PO’s to support customs handling BTI activities
- Record keeping of shipments and share classification with external resources (E.g. forwarder companies)
- Handling Inward Procedure for service activities.
- Support Service Hubs with local customs matters.
- Travels when needed to Denmark for building product and team knowledge.
Requirements
- Working knowledge or experience with the EU and US export control regulation
- Practical experience with setting up/managing customs activities.
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of customs regulations.
- Knowledge of International Trade / Customs / Trade Compliance / Tariff Classification.
