About the role
- Project Developer working on BESS and PV projects at Uniper, leading project development and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborating with diverse teams to advance sustainable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Bring BESS projects to construction-ready status in collaboration with colleagues
- Manage permitting procedures under the Building Code (BauGB) and coordinate external planners, expert reviewers, authorities, and stakeholders
- Negotiate with landowners and secure sites through lease or purchase agreements
- Review land registers and entries to ensure the legal security of projects
- Monitor deadlines and ensure comprehensive project documentation
- Assess new sites for planning law compliance and the feasibility of obtaining permits
- Prepare presentations and conduct contract negotiations with project stakeholders
Requirements
- Several years of experience in project development — ideally in renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure
- Good knowledge of building law (BauGB) and experience with permitting procedures at the municipal level
- Completed vocational training or a degree with a focus in economics, engineering/technical fields, planning, law, or geography, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in project development for photovoltaics, wind energy, or storage systems
- Ability to work in a structured, independent, and results-oriented manner
- Confident and professional presence with strong negotiation skills
- Valid Class B driving license (or equivalent) and willingness to travel occasionally for business
- Ability to work effectively in a large, multicultural company
- Fluent German (for communication with authorities) and strong English skills (negotiation-level)
