About the role
- Senior IT Core Banking Developer at Quento Technologies maintaining and enhancing banking systems in Greece. Engaging in full software development lifecycle for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical core banking applications;
- Engaging in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to support;
- Producing clear and detailed documentation for system architecture, functionality, and processes;
- Performing rigorous testing and data validation to ensure the absolute integrity of the systems;
- Efficiently troubleshooting and resolving complex software bugs and user-reported issues;
- Handling the integration of core banking platforms with other internal and external services;
- Collaborating closely with IT colleagues to maintain the stability, performance, and security of core systems;
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field;
- Over 4 years of hands-on software development experience, specifically within core banking systems;
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory compliance;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage competing deadlines successfully;
- **Technical Expertise:**
- Proficiency in foundational programming languages such as **COBOL, C, or Python;**
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level core banking software platforms like **AS/400 or Z/OS;**
- **Additional Advantage:**
- Familiarity with **Linux** environments will be considered a significant plus.
