About the role
- Cloud Infrastructure and System Operations Analyst supporting IT operation of cloud-based applications at Uniper. Focus on ETRM applications and continuous improvements in infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities
- Work as an IT Cloud Infrastructure Specialist in an integrated international team and support the IT operation of cloud-based application infrastructure for critical ETRM applications
- Drive continuous improvement of IT infrastructure operations for the application landscape and coordinate third‑party vendors as well as internal and external teams
- Use modern tools for operational monitoring and further optimize the IT infrastructure of ETRM cloud instances
- Help keep system documentation up to date (security concepts, disaster recovery concepts, etc.)
- Support execution of DR exercises, security table‑top exercises and penetration‑testing activities
- Identify operational infrastructure-related problems by observing and analyzing system functionality and performance
- Develop operational solutions by defining and documenting procedures and processes to be followed by internal and external teams
- Support system audit activities
- Apply incident, problem, change, knowledge, access, release and deployment management in day-to-day work, and contribute to their continuous improvement
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of professional experience in similar roles such as Application Management, IT Operations Analyst or ETRM Analyst
- Experience operating cloud-based applications, in particular Microsoft Azure
- Experience working with internal teams alongside external service providers and contractors
- Broad and deep knowledge of end-to-end IT application support processes, with solid operational experience in application support, issue and incident handling
- Knowledge of IT operations, including ITIL
- Excellent analytical skills to develop a holistic end-to-end understanding of problems
- Logical thinker, able to own, investigate and resolve problems and incidents; resourceful and creative with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently and within an agile team, combined with a strong sense of responsibility
- Strong analytical and structured thinking, high organizational skills and the ability to present complex topics tailored to the audience
- Experience in trading IT and a good understanding of ETRM systems such as ION OpenLink is a plus
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are an advantage
