About the role

  • Development Program Manager II at L.A. Care supporting strategic investment initiatives and collaboration with stakeholders. Overseeing program management, research, and funding opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Strategic Investment, Innovation and Partnership team to advance core strategic initiatives
  • Work with key stakeholders on program implementation and facilitate communications with cross-functional departments
  • Obtain approvals from management
  • Support new business/program development including cost proposals and research/writing
  • Responsible for researching development opportunities and foundations for program leverage
  • Provide recommendations on financial management of assigned programs
  • Review, edit, and contribute to technical deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related Field
  • At least 4 years of experience in Project/Program Management
  • Experience in managing complex initiative and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with working with grants
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional internal and external key stakeholders
  • Experience leading professional staff and fostering accountability, collaboration, and results-oriented performance
  • Familiarity with California Medicaid (Medi-Cal) and regulatory entities such as Department of Health Care Service (DHCS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), or Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) preferred
  • Knowledge of health care operations or health care systems preferred
