About the role
- Senior Client Accountant providing high-quality service to a portfolio of clients at a CSP company in Sliema. Managing accounts, VAT and tax returns, and internal collaborations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and assist with their accounts, management accounts, as well as tax refund-related issues
- Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns, as well as payroll reports
- Prepare payment instructions
- Collaborate with internal auditors
- Assist the Fiscal Unit and prepare documents and reports
- Support liquidation processes, including preparation of supporting documents and coordination with relevant authorities
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant or currently within one year of ACCA completion
- 3+ years of experience as an accountant in Malta – non-negotiable
- Fluency in English at a C2+ level, both written and spoken
- Fluency in Italian is a plus
- Proven experience in Maltese VAT and tax law
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with QuickBooks is a plus
- Organised, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Analytical with multitasking skills
