About the role

• Product Design Lead managing UX/UI strategies for streaming and news projects at JAKALA Germany in Hamburg. Leading design teams and ensuring user-centered design decisions through collaboration and best practices.

Responsibilities

• You plan and prioritize UX/UI capacity and closely coordinate resources with department heads, project management and other teams
• You develop efficient work and scheduling structures within the agile team and lead the team through creative workshops
• You ensure clear communication and promote exchange within the creative team, with adjacent disciplines and across products to share knowledge and best practices
• You establish quality and working standards, ensure smooth processes and organize effective onboarding and offboarding to secure knowledge transfer and continuity
• You present experience concepts and solutions to internal and external stakeholders and work closely with Product Management and Experience Strategy
• You are responsible for the UX/UI strategy within the product and ensure user-centered design decisions that support the product vision, business goals and user needs
• You strengthen team spirit, a culture of feedback and the professional development of your team members in collaboration with the Heads of UX and UI, e.g. through day-to-day coaching or review sessions

Requirements

• You have experience in design management, UX/UI or service design with project and client responsibility
• You bring solid knowledge of UX/UI strategy, user-centered design and aligning product vision with business goals
• You work independently, proactively and take ownership, including in client-facing situations
• You have a broad understanding of all design processes and can take on operational UX/UI tasks when needed
• You have experience leading design teams, fostering team culture and supporting the development of team members
• You are familiar with resource planning and cross-functional collaboration
