- Supply Chain Program Manager managing supplier selection and validation processes for Design, NPI, and Cost Reduction at Jabil. Focused on leveraging supply chain and manufacturing expertise.
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier selection process and part validation process for Design, NPI, and Risk/Cost Reduction
- Participate in situational analysis to leverage Jabil’s Supply Chain and Sourcing organizations
- Accountable for BOM pricing through design and mass production milestones
- Responsible for resolving cost differences and addressing supply chain impacts due to BOM changes
- Solicits and coordinates supplier Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations
- Interprets supplier feedback for product and/or process optimization
- Manages the supplier selection process in alignment with commodity management
- Accountable for supplier negotiations and risk mitigation
- Provides guidance to buyers and maintains clean-to-build part status
- Guides qualification process of components and suppliers under Jabil ownership
- Leads purchasing organization with short-term/high-risk quality issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- MBA preferred with experience in Supply Chain a plus
- At least 5 years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge and experience working with manufacturing processes
- Ability to analyze technical processes and drawings (design for manufacturing)
- Experience with supplier audits of the processes and drawings
- Ability to shift and adapt quickly to changing project requirements
- Willingness to support multiple projects/customers
