Responsibilities
ESP32 & esp-idf – Development of complex embedded firmware with FreeRTOS and MQTT
Hardware & Sensors – Selection, design and testing of electronics, sensors & actuators
Prototyping & Soldering – Assembly, wiring, debugging and optimization of prototypes
End-to-end IoT Solutions – Thinking from concept through hardware to cloud integration
Client-facing Engineering – Direct coordination with clients, technical consulting & sparring
Requirements
Embedded stack – Highly proficient with ESP32, esp-idf, FreeRTOS, MQTT and C programming
Hardware expertise – Strong electrical engineering and sensor knowledge, with projects where you owned hardware from concept to production
Tooling & scripting – Comfortable with Bash/PowerShell, ideally also Python
IoT & cloud knowledge – Experience with Java/Spring Boot or C#, Azure DevOps/pipelines, Azure SQL/IoT Hub/Log Analytics
Work style & communication – Highly self-organized, reliable in delivery, close collaboration within a small team, very proficient in German and English
