About the role

  • Hardware Engineering Intern assisting with product development in a collaborative environment at Teradyne. Support engineers in testing and characterization of prototype hardware and electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop the growing portfolio of hardware products and customers
  • Work with an exceptionally experienced engineering team located around the world
  • Support the sophisticated electronic hardware used by customers to test integrated circuits and devices
  • Debug and characterize prototype hardware and circuits
  • Support test preparation and execution, troubleshooting, and software debug
  • Perform data analysis and statistical evaluation of products
  • Present data, findings, and conclusions to a broad audience.

Requirements

  • Current college student enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years coursework
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals
  • Ability to work with hardware tools such as oscilloscopes, voltage meters, power supplies, electronic loads
  • Basic software development and scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, C, C#, or C++) to support hardware design
  • Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and PCIe and soldering experience are a plus
  • Motivated to learn, eager to challenge yourself, and to deliver results
  • Strong in troubleshooting, multitasking, communication, teamwork, and organization
