Hardware Engineer playing a key role in Defence communication system engineering services. Delivering hardware design, specifications, and documentation to support critical defence capabilities.
Responsibilities
Deliver engineering services across the design, delivery, acceptance and sustainment of the JP9101 Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS)
Ownership of hardware-based design activities, producing equipment specifications, assemblies, installation instructions, cable diagrams and associated Product Baseline documentation
Apply sound engineering principles to develop calculations, technical solutions and design improvements
Conduct technical investigations and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures
Contribute to secure configuration and data management
Requirements
Approximately 2 years relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles
Hold an accredited (under the Washington Accord) bachelor’s degree in engineering or hold the recognised engineering qualifications
An understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software)
Experience in creating Product Baseline documentation including detailed product design artifacts and drawings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
