Responsibilities
- Advise customers and sell products in the optical department
- Perform eye examinations and equipment checks
- Manage product non-conformities and customer adaptation issues
- Ensure product availability and compliance with merchandising standards
- Actively contribute to sales by maintaining a constant presence on the sales floor while co-leading the sales team in daily work organization
- Ensure the application of the brand's commercial policy and business plan
- Ensure the quality of shelving, displayed products, demonstrations, signage, labeling, and cleanliness
- Clearly present promotional operations to customers through verbal communication
- Co-manage the profit center
- Contribute to improving results and achieving targets
- Conduct weekly actions to address stockouts and overstocks
- Perform daily follow-up on customer files: pending insurance reimbursements, delivery, and after-sales service
- Adapt the department to customer expectations
- Process price surveys to ensure proper profitability
- Ensure the accuracy of selling prices
- Prepare for and participate in inventory counts
- Ensure compliance with markdown procedures (reconditioning, repackaging, after-sales return conditions, etc.)
Requirements
- BTS Opticien-Lunetier, university degree in optics, or Professional Certificate in Optics (Brevet Professionnel)
- Demonstrates commercial responsiveness by making decisions to adapt the department to customer expectations
- Proficient in ordering, receiving, inventory management, and cash register/POS systems
- Proficient in vision examinations
- Skilled in spectacle assembly and re-mounting (re-housing)
- Understands and manages the economic indicators of their department
