Responsibilities
Assist the Team Leader responsible for accounting and reporting requirements for the Company’s legal entities in EMEA.
Support month end process and statutory related processes within deadlines and instructions.
Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for independent audits.
Prepare or analyze financial reports, research and explain variances.
Perform or review close related ledger tasks, e.g. accruals, provisions, journals postings.
Prepare or review accounts reconciliations on timely basis in accordance with Group internal control guidelines.
Perform and review SOX controls in line with Group internal guidelines.
Participate in local projects or initiatives, evaluates potential impact on local reporting units, perform local implementation of changes.
Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners and support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and financial systems and suggest alternatives where appropriate.
Maintain and improve technical accounting skills.
May assume overall responsibility for small size legal entity or regional tasks.
Support the onboarding of additional countries to the new IQVIA financial shared services center in Bratislava Slovakia.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in accounting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Advanced knowledge of French language
SAP Knowledge
French GAAP accounting knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Technical accounting skills.
Good analytical and numeracy skills.
Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
