Deputy Operations Manager overseeing operations for Intrepid Travel trips in Utah. Responsible for performance, field staff communication, and administrative duties in the Utah branch.
Responsibilities
Provide the main point of contact for field staff working in the Utah branch as well as the Operations teams
Responsible for the overall performance of all trips, including maintaining and operating a branch warehouse location
Perform business administrative duties related to the branch
Support the contracting, reservations, sales and other functions for the branch
Perform other duties from time to time which may fall outside the scope of these responsibilities as business circumstances dictate
Requirements
Travel industry work experience, preferably as a tour leader or guide
Extensive knowledge of the field area
Excellent communication (verbal & written) in English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel and previous experience with a CRM system; Salesforce preferred
Strong supervisory, facilitation and organization skills
Office duties required, ability to lift up-to 20 pounds and work at a computer station up to 40 hours-per-week
Meet company and DOT driving requirements and maintain a valid Driver’s License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Maintain a current Wilderness First Responder, CPR & Epi Certification
Must pass a background check
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be available for random drug screens (CA only)
