About the role
- DevOps Engineer managing cloud and on-premise platforms for a public sector infrastructure project. Collaboration primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate highly available cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters as well as OpenShift environments.
- Automate infrastructure processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

- Support the implementation of messaging systems and modern data-streaming solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps.
- In-depth knowledge of administering Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Hands-on experience automating with Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Ideally, prior experience with HashiCorp Vault and PKI systems.
- Knowledge of Kafka distributions (e.g., Confluent) is a plus.
- Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within regulated environments.
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken (mandatory).
- Professional-level English skills are required.
- Demonstrable residence or work authorization in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
