About the role

  • SoC performance engineer responsible for validation of Intel's client products. Involves complex debug, executing test plans, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Performs low-level and complex debug for multiple systems and subsystems within a product or at the SoC level for Intel products.
  • Works to continuously improve the debug discipline through new design for debug (DFD) tools and scripts.
  • Applies deep understanding of SoC design, architecture, firmware, and software to resolve triage failures and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Develops and executes validation test plans and directed tests to ensure adherence to validation standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and or Computer Engineering or any STEM related education
  • 1+ years of experience on validation platforms
  • 1+ years of experience with Functional OSPM (Operating System-directed Power Management) PPM, P-states, C-states, and thermal management experience
  • Scripting knowledge basics focusing on Python
  • Experience in using power measurement tools including NIDAQ-Intec and thermal control equipment.
  • Process large amounts of Power-Performance data for analysis.
