Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret insurance policy wordings and valuation reports to determine coverage and evaluate and negotiate total loss settlements
Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, lawyers and brokers to settle claims
Ensure all cases are clearly documented and forms are analyzed and processed in a timely fashion
Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness
Requirements
1+ years of customer service experience
Auto claims handling is an asset
A college diploma or a university degree is an asset
Working toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate strong negotiation and decision-making skills
A critical thinker when it comes to approaching complex problems in time-sensitive situations and with minimal supervision
Are a skilled communicator, which allows you to foster favorable business relationships
Have a keen ability to listen to others with the goal of gathering information, allowing you to efficiently evaluate a situation
